Am I eligible to join?
u3a membership is not related to a specific age but to a period in one’s life (the third age) after the second age of full-time employment and parental responsibility. Anybody in their third age can join u3a and this includes people who are working part-time. There is no lower age for membership.
Membership.
Our annual membership fee is £15 but new members are welcome to attend 1 monthly meeting and any group activity for 1 month prior to joining. Forms for new members and those renewing their membership will be available at our next General Meeting.
Please remember our GIFT AID facility and indicate your assent on the Membership Renewal Form.
Membership Forms for 2026-27 will be available at the next meeting and whilst cash payments are always welcome, please post-date any cheques or transfer any membership fee (£15) on or after 1st April.

Monthly Raffle. At the General Meeting in October, it was announced that we would hold a monthly raffle at £1 per ticket. This is an attempt to boost our funds after running coach trips at a deficit.
The Ambler's group has been suspended until later in the year.
The Cinema group will depend on what films are being shown.
The Gardening group will meet next in the Spring.
Suggestions.
At events that we cannot fill within our membership, we offer the vacancies to members of neighbouring u3a Branches. (This would help us, for example, to fill coaches on our trips thus possibly decreasing the cost).
A trip to the Police Museum in Bridgend and one to a Christmas Market
Please keep your new suggestions for new groups and trips coming
