Over the years we have run a variety of trips including Hestercombe House and gardens (2024), Lytes Cary (2023), Newbury Canal (2022) and Hampton Court Castle (2022).
If you would like to see some of our photographs you will find them on Flickr, click the link to access the albums.

2024 - Hestercombe House and Gardens, Taunton has some beautiful formal gardens designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in collaboration with Gertrude Jekyll and these are now being restored plus acres of woodland, lakes, streams and follies.
There is also an art gallery and café.
2023 - Lytes Cary Manor is a 14th century manor house in Somerset owned by the National Trust. It’s quite a small manor house and furnished with some lovely pieces of furniture of the period.
The gardens were beautiful with long herbaceous borders, topiary, overgrown orchards and four wonderful lavender beds, where we saw lots of different species of butterflies and bees.

2022 - Hampton Court Castle, Herefordshire, is a country house built in 1427and it has some beautiful gardens, a secret tunnel and a maze (no one got lost). We had a guided tour because it is also a hotel and wedding venue.
