Gartholwg u3a was officially formed on the 26th of February, 2008.
At present we have around 106 members, most are from local communities but we also have members from Cardiff, Pontypridd, Treharris and Caerphilly.
We hold our monthly talks on a wide range of subjects on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 14:00 in the theatre at Gartholwg L.L.C.
Some of our previous talks include ‘Department Stores & London Links’, ‘the History of Cardiff Parks’ and ‘Completing a Charity Trek to Kilimanjaro’.
We also have interest groups such as Art and Architecture, Gardening, Books and Games, and we run a couple of trips every year (check the Events and Groups tabs for information).
